please help!!, can't decide between 08 c4s vs 09 c2s

I'm with Steve here...I'd pick the C4S if they were both .2 cars.....I love the C4s! Having owned both I'd never choose the generation .1!
Good Luck!

I have an '08 .1 C4S cab and love it. However, the gen 1 PCM system w/NAV sucks and is not worthy of being in a P-car. The gen 2 engine with direct injection is by all accounts a better engine, but I've had zero issues with my gen 1 unit thus far. AWD on the C4 is an invisible plus, but PASM/PSM almost makes any need for AWD in anything but snow and/or ice unnecessary.
If you haven't already decided on one over the other, I'd recommend the 2009 C2S between the two.
Like the old axiom goes, "Always buy the best you can afford."

Another vote for the 2009. I previously had a 2006 that I loved, but the 2009 has a lot of benefits. I'd just be repeating previous posts if I gave pros/cons here. Get that 2009 before someone else does!

Top Gear did a comparison between the C2 and C4 in a stadium course (.1 generation). Back-to-back, same driver. The C4 jumped out ahead and did post a slightly quicker time although the 1 Km course was a lot of tight, twisty corners which would be an advantage to the 4. Course looks slippy too. Again, advantage 4. Wish there was a similar .2S comparison of each car, but this is good for debate.
The 4S is great if need or want AWD. But there are penalties in comparison: cost + weight + fuel economy and slightly less overall dry performance. AWD is only an advantage under power, and predominantly in adverse conditions.

It depends really ...
I see your point but not all socal is dry and sunny.
Well, for the last few days none of it has been
But if you travel to big bear to snowboard or ski etc it could come in handy?

Thank you guys for their much appreciated feedback, I made my decision and I'm taking the 997.2 c2s, ppi came clean, they said just 1 tire is wore and needs to be replace, I might address that to the dealer since its a cpo and I thought part of the cpo process is to install all 4 new tires.
Ianc2, thank you so much for the invite, unfortunately the car in out of state, but I'm calling the dealer today to close the deal so hopefully in a few days I should be driven her

For CPO the tread has to be 4mm at least. Mine had new rears but fronts were not new. Rears wear out 2x as fast. Better to have them replace 2 and wonder why one wore out sooner. Alignment issues. ? Even wear or inside?good luck. CPO has a checklist to verify.

If you lived in the snow belt and used the car as a daily driver then maybe the C4S. But that doesn't seem to be an issue for you.
I'd go for the 997.2. I put 23K miles on my 09 C2S with no issues and currently have 11k miles on my 11 GTS with no issues.
