997.1 Exhaust
What kind of exhaust should I get?
I was heading towards AWE or APR. They're both around the price range of what I want to spend.
I love the sound of a Tubi, but I'm not looking to spend that kind of money on it.
I had a pretty good experience with APR with an Audi TT I used to own, I had their exhaust and ECU chip.
Please share me your feedbacks on your exhausts. What kind of sound and HP? I'm looking for something under $2k.
Thanks!
Steve

We are an APR Dealer and I have also seen and installed AWE. First starters, APR Porsche exhausts are made by B&B Exhaust which is located out in Arizona so for Porsche part numbers we buy directly for a much better price. APR no longer uses B&B for VW and Audi as they have switched to Corsa. B&B is a great exhaust manufacturer, they are much larger than AWE and their quality and fitment is much better than AWE. Their lead times which is usually 5 business days, is also much faster than the typical AWE lead times which is anywhere from 4-6 weeks. The only thing I would wait 4 to 6 weeks on is a set of wheels from HRE. Just my .02
If your interested let me know I would be glad to shoot you a nice price and actually deliver something to you just in time to stuff under the tree

Another for the Fabspeed cats and either the PSE or gundo. That's not to say that aftermarket cans wouldn't sound great in combination also. The 200 cell cats are where the best sound comes from, though. Gives the car that more linear, rapid exhaust note - wonderful sound. Like 911bob, I have Fabspeed's cats and gundo'd cans, but I'm still looking at the option of aftermarket mufflers and X51 headers. I'm also running the EVO intake.

when one is interested in a better exhaust note, are the muffs the only thing considered?
tubi for instance: they would sound very nice......but do I need to buy a bunch of other crap too???
always seems like one thing leads to another in these games.........
can't do this unless that was done, and so on......
anyone shed some light?

Here's a great option....Well under your 2K budget - 100% stainless steel construction, high flow cats, direct bolt-on, perfect fit...
