Video of sound of complete exhaust system

Thanks Mike,

Any chance you have a video link you can send me of the sound of your complete exhaust system (cross-over pipes and mufflers) on a 997.2 I can hear?

Thanks.

Here is my suggestion. Start with a set of cross over pipes. Yes, hopefully ours.

Easy to install, power gains, and won't break the bank. If you want more, add some mufflers. More sound, but not much of a power add on.

Our AWE Tuning Porsche exhaust parts were designed, tested, and are made all in house. We are very proud of the results and hope you will be as well.

You can read more here:

Cross over pipe highlights:

*6.5lbs weight savings
*100% T304 Stainless Steel Construction
*Complete bolt-in replacement for OE center rear muffler

If you or anyone else has addtional questions, please email me directly.

Thanks!

Here is a link to our YouTube clip. It is just the cross over pipes. Adding the mufflers won't change the tone, but will increase the volume about 5-7%.

Thanks!

On my 997.1 I've got the "gundo" mufflers. Same thing that Fister sells. I love it! It is a really cheap way to get some extra sound with no issues of error codes, on inspections.

With your brand perhaps. That's not a universal statement.

I am really interested in improving the sound and do not want to sacrifice the performance (ie. lose torque in the process). Obviously, there is a huge price disparity between the cheapest (fister) and the most expensive (Tubi). What is your experience and with these exhausts? Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

It's arguable. Sound is obviously subjective. For me, this is definitely the most exotic sounding system. And the fob is nice for those who run tracks with low db limits

That's the point. It's a little too loud to live with in open mode, and a little too raspy in either. The quiet mode isn't very impressive. I'd rather have a compromise between the 2 sound options. Sounds good though, just a tad too loud and raspy for something to operate daily, which IMO takes away from the traditional Porsche engine note I appreciate most. I don't want my car to sound like something it's not. Nor do I want to annoy myself and everyone within an earshot.
