Take a small flat head screwdriver and pry gently up on the tab you see in the center of the plastic end cap, while pulling the cap toward the front of the car. It slides right off, revealing a torx head bolt. The only unfortunate part is that the cap cannot be re-installed with the mount in place. This didn't bother me, but I realize that it may bother some folks.

Yeah I was thinking about selling it. Now I might just keep the cradle and go with the vent mount and sell the other mount. It's just too far out of my line of sight if I'm using the valentine V1 app or for navigation.
