Parts + labor. And...I'm fairly certain that I was low. He hasn't established that he is comfortable with DIY. Heck, I bet most of the members on this forum (me excepted) don't even change their own oil. Not everyone is a DIYer.

Maturola,Why do you say you cannot control and make calls from the PCM?I beg to differ?I have no problem with controls with my phone list and all through my NAV screen?

I was talking about the iSimple unit, not the Denison - $70 vs $600+

I asked the place that did my clear bra & window tint what they would charge for this install?$100 bucks.

That assumes you want a window tint guy in your dash - arguably doing his first install of that type. Risky.

There you go ASSUMING!LOL They're a high end car audio shop in the So.CA. area.
Like I stated before $1000 is way to high or they saw you coming!
If you haven't researched enough you will find that most car audio shops also do tinting and clear bra installments.

I concede the point. If you can find a qualified shop that can install a unit, behind the dash, making all of the proper connections, fishing the wiring, for $100 - in a car where an oil change is $300 - go for it. The shops in my neck of the woods would charge more like $300-$400. That said, I did it myself.

I took a little longer to install my Dension as I wanted it inside the car and not beside the CD changer.
It's not difficult at all, connect it into the MOST network, +12v and earth.
I fitted the unit just in front of the gearshift and ran the Ipod and other cables to the storage box at the rear of the centre console.
The microphone is in the same position as the factory one, have had no issues with sound at all.
