car looks bad@$$... congrats... Really nice to see a well executed ride where it is obvious that the owner is a "car dude"... (that goes for most of us nuts on these forums... what the rest of the folks just don't know)..

Now that's what I call modding a mod.

I have to admit when I first started reading your posts I thought this unmolested 997S Launch car was sadly going to get butchered and frankensteined to death.
You did a nice job with it. Nothing over the top and tastefully presented. Enjoy it !!!!!

'oh yes, i've seen some people destroy the elegance & beauty of a Porsche by going overboard on the mods..not i sir, i try to keep it "clean" & tasteful. Thanks for the compliment!

Thanks man. I want to do the same with my DRLs. But I am thinking of a light tint film, that way I can easily remove it if I don tlike the look or want to change it up...

It isn't about body or 'go fast' mods - its about doing what you enjoy to and with your car. To me for example 'go fast' mods are pretty much 'pointless'...as you can always just buy a car to be as fast as you want it to be. Between AMG benzez, Corvettes, M BMWs and Shelby Mustangs there are no shortages of cars that can be bought already that run 12s or 11s 'stock'. You're in essence never going to catch up or beat those cars power wise - and that power is usually available for relatively inexpensive prices. Porsche has never been the fastest cat on the block, especially in the price range that they charge - and a lot of customers go into a Porsche knowing that. I myself bought a Porsche for its heritage, timeless design and driving feel amongst most important factors to me.
Aesthetic mods are much more complex as you can't always buy a car 'lowered' from the factory, or have a particular taste for a front lip, rear bumper or a few custom pieces on the interior. I myself is a much more 'aesthetic' mod guy because I purchase the car being 'happy' with its performance the way it is. If I wasn't, I would just buy the car that is 'faster' stock. I feel that Tarek did a wonderful job with his Porsche and sometimes no 'power' under the hood brings the satisfaction of looking at your car and knowing it looks 'perfect' to you.
