Yes, Suncoast's PDK software price is $1199.00 - $120.00 (PCA discount) plus shipping. The ATL dealers are about the same, but plus 8% sales tax and no shipping. There seems to be quite a differential among dealers regarding the install time/labor cost. I am hearing 1.5 hours to 4 hours, what is typical?

I've been wanting to get this done as well and just haven't found a dealer I'm comfortable having it done by yet for the same reasons. Sounds like a quick plug and play the P dealers here in NorCal seem either not knowledgeable about it or they don't like the fact I'm getting the part elsewhere from suncoast and paying them to install..

My understanding is this is an authorized Porsche dealer install required deal as it needs the dealer to enable some code ..

Haven't read anything on this being a DIY project.

Just had this done a my local dealer 2 months ago, it woke up the car, it's a whole new animal! PDK without it is a snooze.

You cannot DIY, They install and request coding from Porsche factory from what I'm told. I got it for put in for 1275 OTD, best $ spent on the car no doubt!

Thanks for confirming Chris,

That's one heck of a deal considering dealer installed as the part alone for PDK on Suncoast is $1199

Mojo31 is infamous around these parts
The dealer that installed mine had never even heard of it before I brought it up with them. In the end, it was a very simple install. There is a switch plate that installs below the HVAC controls. A software activation code must be obtained from Stuttgart, and then the software has to be activated through the dealer's equipment (PWIS?). The thing that was the most difficult was getting the code from Germany; however, that was just a matter of the different time zones.

What did they end up charging you for labor install time?

I don't know as it was part of the deal when I bought the car. I actually bought the car in another city and that dealer installed the switch, but ran into some difficulty getting the code. Because I was picking up the car before they received the activation code, they arranged with a local dealer to do the activation at the selling dealer's cost, but the local dealer did it for the seller as a favor at no charge.

Neither of the two dealers had installed the thing before my car.
