997.2 Mufflers

997.2 Mufflers
I live in a neighborhood with rather restrictive noise covenants. I want to do the Gundo hack on my 997.2 CS, but I may need to go back to stock if my neighbors get too bent out of shape. Consequently, I want to do the hack on a second set of mufflers and keep my original mufflers stock just in case I need to reverse the hack (go back to my stock mufflers.)
Eventually, I may be forced to invest in a stock PSE system so I can turn the PSE on and off. However, I would like to try the Gundo hack first as it is much more cost effective.
If any of you guys are upgrading your 997.2 CS exhaust with an aftermarket exhaust and you want to offset your out-of-pocket cost, I am interested in purchasing your stock mufflers.
Thanks,
Warren

Hi Warren:
I am planning to replace my '10 997.2 exhaust, (car has 10K miles) with the PSE exhaust I recently bought that is sitting in my garage. How big a hurry are you in? I would sell my stock exhaust for $450 sans tips plus shipping.
Thanks,
Michael

I also have the Gundo and agree with the above.

I will be another supporter of "keep light on the gas as you leave your house" - I also have a sensitive neighbor and I assure you he would have complained by now if Gundo was too loud. You just have to resist the urge to give your car lots of gas when you pass the sensitive neighbor...
Gundo hack your cans and enjoy!

I am new to the Gundo Hack Mod...is the Gundo Hack different than buying the Fabspeed Xpipes or the Sharkwerks equivalent?
Is the Gundo Hack just a less expensive way of getting the same result?
Sorry for the stupid question...I'm very interested in getting more "grunt" from my engine sound on my 997.2.

The hack will run you an average of about $200 at a good muffler shop for R&R and the mod.

Thank you PTParks.
I do have a 2009 997.2 - I will check out the crossover pipe and not consider the X-Pipe now based on what you said.
Does the Fabspeed Crossover Pipe mod have anything to do with the Gundo Hack mod? Are they related, totally different? Help each other?
Would there be any reason to do the Gundo Hack AND add the Fabspeed Crossover Pipe?
Again, please excuse the stupid questions...I am WAY new to all this
