I understand how you feel but letting one person ruin your day is basically like letting him/her have control over you. From my experience, the entire site has been very pleasant and welcoming and I wouldn't let anyone convince me otherwise. Only you can create your experience and allow a stranger to affect how you feel. Take care and I hope you have a better experience on this site going forward.

You are correct, but sometimes we need to blow-off some steam versus keeping it in. I am cool now and actually going to the garage to work on one of my muscle cars, really! A 1970 Challenger Convertible with 440 six pack, so let me see if mom is okay if I throw in the GearVendor overdrive for better track performance (drag track that is.)

Thats the way to do it and I understand the need to vent sometimes. Any links to your '70 Challenger? Although its nothing like your vintage, I used to have a '10 Shelby GT500.

Dates me but in 1973 I bought a brand new Plymouth 340 duster, it was $2900.00 dollars and my dad had to co sign. Transmission was 3 speed on the floor, no six speed then. My buddy bought a 1971 charger, don't remember the price, and he still has it today over forty years later. Enjoy your muscle car and post some pics.

The idea of negative rep seems backwards to me. The whole point of a forum like this is to share knowledge and opinions. There's always gonna be a little disagreement here and there. Sometimes realizing you're wrong is the most important part of the process. I've never given negative rep and don't ever plan on it. Accepting others views, even when you know they are wrong or disrespectful, is just part of life. With over 80,000 members the 6speed community is the size of a small town. If everyone agreed on everything it would be a pretty boring place.

Don't sweat the rep point thing... not even sure what it really means. I've been "anti rep-ed" for some of the strangest things... most times its from juvenile contributors that seem to struggle with differing opinions... Really, who cares....

Best,
Matt

Don't have any links or pictures of that car yet, doing ground up restoration and just got it from the paint shop a month ago, when I get some I will PM you. Also, attached is a picture of 70 Challenger Hemi car I had BestofShowAutomotive sell for me. Here is the link to that car with professional pictures, they are called RKMotors now. http://www.rkmotorscharlotte.com/sal...-RT-SE/CN10073

To me the person was using the rep point "anonymity feature" like a coward and didn't have the ***** or the right to tell me to get off the site. And, the psychoanalysis came in when I try to understand his comment is based off me bumping a discussion that I am very interested in and/or my signature. Its a forum we have the right to speak so I spoke, but not by hiding myself.

But I did make one mistake by condemning the entire forum.
I've had stupid posts like that. I figured out who left me a negative post once, and called them out on it. They didn't have a good reason to do. It, and just said "I didn't like what you said"

As others have said, don't sweat it.

Some people have nothing better to do, do not let them bring you down.

Again you're seeming pretty sensitive. I'm not hiding behind anything. Nor am I, or have I ever been a "thug" (but thanks for the thought). I'm glad you're getting over your hurt feelings. Personally, I didn't know you could send negative rep. Seems childish really. To me, for what it's worth, I don't think any negative posting/attack should be allowed to be anonymus.

In my opinion the rep point system is unnecessary. Why have and collect points? Are we getting a blender at certain number?

You right I was getting too sensitive. I see you have a narrow body 996 (not GT or Turbo), you realize that is the least deserable 911 model ever made due to its poor aethestics and the terrible crankshaft design. That is why when the 997 came out it drew design details from the 993, not the 996. Porsche realized they made a mistake with the 996 body, by going away from the original 911 single headlight and hip rear.

But you know what that's my opinion and really doesn't mean anything as it relates to you or your car.
