Best Bang 4 my Buck Exhaust 997 C2S

Calm down buddy. No need to flame up this is just a forum not a presidential debate. I respect everyone's opionon and I'm just expressing mine. What I meant is exactly what I stated earlier. DO THINGS RIGHT FROM THE START! Why people get tatttoos or wear expesive name brand clothing? So they can feel good about what they spent $ on. So if spending $2000 for Fabspeed Mufflers makes me feel good then I'm gonna do it!!! If spending $300 makes you feel good about your Gundo Hack then good for you DRUMMIN4FUN.

Right back at ya... and forgive me if I took your words too personally, but it's really difficult to convey attitude and intent on a written forum.
Hell, you live in LA... maybe we should meet for a beer and put all of this to rest.

No worries bud we P car owners need to stick together!!! Definitely should get together sometimes. Btw love the black wheels on black look. I'm thinking about satin wrap my car and add some black ruger mesh wheels.

Thanks! Someone here has that look, lowered, along with a body kit and spoiler... it is pretty spectacular.

I'm in Orlando and just did the Gundo. Pull up my thread from a couple weeks ago, I posted a before/after video. I can even give you some leftover 304 stainless piping from my hack. Hell, you could drive up for the day and have it done at the shop that did mine.

Hack is underway. For the price I couldn't not give it a shot. Ended up the speed shop at my local dealership does them as a common practice. Dropped the car off this morning, put me in a loaner car and will get it back later tomorrow.
If its not the audio fix I was looking for there was not much lost and I'll turn back to you all for recommendations on a full system.
Stay "tuned"!

+1 on the Gundo Hack. We just purchased a 2005 C2S for my wife and it had the Gundo Mufflers on it. Sounds downright mean when it first fires up echoing in the garage or when it gets into the higher RPMs. On my 2005 C2S RUF R-Kompressor, I have the full Fabspeed system - equal length headers, Hi-flow 200 cell cats, Valvetronic mufflers hooked up to the OEM PSE vacuum solenoid and custom RUF Tips. My car flat-out screams with the mufflers in Sport Bypass mode, but part of this is from supercharger flow, that it's actually making about 100 more HP, and that I drive it differently than she does. For Bang-for-the-Buck on sound, there's no comparison that Gundo Takes it hands down, and I have both ends of the spectrum covered. You'll love the new sound - enjoy!

Petza914: thanks, I may do the Fabspeed sport exhaust in time but this was the exact fix I was looking for. You've confirmed what I've heard about the 200 cell cats, so many people rave about them. My 997.1 is a TIP so the hack goes virtually until you stand in it. Next and last mods will be the daytime running LED lights/turn signals. Then Fabspeed grandma air intake.

Pertza914: and what do you think? Any noticeable change in response? I have one on my daily driver, not a Pcar. I notice a slight increase in gas mileage on long trips. Not looking for that our of my Pcar.

It's a little hard for me to compare the Fabspeed to the stock Porsche airbox as my car had a modified RUF airbox that is part of the supercharger kit when I bought it, but compared to that, the Fabspeed did give me slightly quicker throttle response, increased engine smoothness, and better pull when really on it, probably because it could flow more air when it really needed to.
