Alcantara - Like/Disklike it?
What is your opinion of this alcantara finish? Do you like it? So-so?
Everytime I see it, it reminds me of the 70's. I probably would have like it a lot better if my roof were finished with the same English Saddle leather finish.
Sorry, this suede-thing looks pretty nappy for my taste even though I know that the upper exotic cars have it. Beauty, as we all know, is to the eye of the beholder.
And how to change the title of a thread? Not disklike..... grrr, where is spell-check when you need it.

Don't care for it, if it comes with it. I am not going to replace it. I actually thought about alcantara or carbon fiber interior. Went with CF instead, it's nicer to feel and easier to clean, plus it last longer.

I personally do not like it, especially once it begins to wear. I specified full leather in my GTS to replace the alcantara. I think the steering wheel and shifter in alcantara look particularly bad, like something you would buy at Walmart. I think headliner is OK.

Yep I also have full leather other than the headliner in alcantara which is fine with me and it hasn't shown one bit of wear over the years, because of no smoking and no sunlight ever hits the headliner.

What's not to love? It's a synthetic suede that is highly resistant to wear and weighs next to nothing. It's also very expensive to make and looks great. I don't want the whole interior covered in it, but it's a perfect material for the headliner especially.

I love the headliner. I also think it looks better in black. I like it in the seats but I would prefer not to have it as it does not wear well. I have the carbon fiber shifter and ebrake. As much as those get used I would not want them wrapped in alcantara.
