I've picked up all the parts and pieces to install a PSE in my 06 C2S cab. I installed a PSE in my 07 Targa five years ago. This time it will be a little easier because it is much easier in a cab to access the wiring grommet between the engine compartment and the DME area behind the back seat.
There is also a convenient little hole to get the wire from the DME area into the back seat area to run wires to a switch that I will install in the console ashtray.
I will be only running 2 wires from the PSE solenoid: 1 ground wire and 1 power wire. Last time, I took the power wire through the ashtray switch to a new power source I installed in a switched fuse slot. This time, I'd like to see if I can pick up the switched power in the DME area and just run that through my ashtray switch to the solenoid.
Does anyone know of a good 12v switched power source I can tap into in the back of the cab? I assume there has to be power there, given that the power top motor is there along with DME etc.
