I would not use this, it will harm your clear on your wheels if you have one.
Use wheel cleaner and a good wax 2-3 times a year, the wax is critical to keeping the wheels clean and making them easier to clean.

Guys both P21s and Sonax full effect are excellent. The Sonax for more soiled and based on. I never use the sonar on my Porsche becasue I have ceramic brakes and you should not use anything other than. Car wash soap and water on ceramics brake rims.
I use p21s on all cars except the range rover because that brake dust is rough.

The clear on all my wheels is fine! As a matter of fact the clear on the painted surfaces of the bikes and the Porsche wheels are almost like they have been clawed!

Understood it worked for you and I know it works well on bikes, I would not use it, I know folks that work for SC Johnson, they say to keep it away from areas that get hot. I would imagine with the Brakes it gets pretty hot.
Glad it is working well for you though.

I've used this for over five years with good results on all of my cars. You can dilute to your needs. I spray on and let sit for a few mins. Cleans my Carrera Sports very well but still requires a very light & quick once over with a soft brush. Works well on the brake calipers and wheel inner barrels as well. Also a very good multi-purpose cleaner for other jobs.

Been using P21S for a while now and I do like it. Tho I cant help but wonder if the dish soap idea is just as good and waaaay cheaper.

Ammo NYC makes nice stuff as well. Tho it is pricey.

I use Dawn, have for years. The plain blue, non fancy one that is super cheap. Use a separate mitt, and a good wheel brush. This is a very simple soap. Same drill to strip wax off car too. Dawn wash, then wax.

I have a 10 5 series, and in the winter it is near impossible to clean the rims very often. After 3 years and various products, waxes etc the front rims were badly pitted. I found a product on another car care forum and decided to try. It is called Iron X, it is a paste that is supposedly ok for this application. So I cleaned the surface brake dust with Sonus, and applied the Iron X paste several times lightly, using a soft brush as well. I would let it sit in the shade for an hour or so at a time.
Now - the pitting is nearly gone, and the rims never looked better.
Will follow up with a coat of Rejex or Wheel wax, but at any rate, this is a great product
I have no affiliation with the company, just frustrated with how bad the rims look
