This is just my personal experience with full v. partial hood wrap. On my last 997 I had a partial on the hood. It was totally fine but I did a lot of city driving. I went with another partial on the hood with my current GTS but, as circumstance change, I do a lot more highway driving now. Consequently, I have a couple of small scratches from rocks (spit up while on the highway) and seem to get hit a lot more (and now I understand the need for air intake mesh as well). So, for me, where and how I drive, a full hood wrap would have been the better option.

I went full hood and I am glad I did.

My prior Clear Bra's were not full hood and I ended up with a nick just above the bra.

I will do my entire hood on my next P car as well. and a big yes to having them do custom where they stretch it past the edge, and tuck the seam under the hood/fender,whatever/wherever!

I would put this stuff anywhere if i could. interesting about doing a windshield...i may test one area in my driver sight line and check to see if the minimal distortion would bother me.

not a fan of doing door edges as its a dirt collector.

Got my car back yesterday and even I was shocked at just how good the custom clear bra is. I really couldn't see it. Car looks so good and weather has finally gotten better so was able to drop the top and really enjoy it. Can't recommend it enough if you are in Boston area you have to go to unique car care if you are elsewhere then hope you are able to find someone as good. Few pics of the car

Take a minute of your time and watch this video. This is an install on a Panamera we did and as you can see we wrapped edges wherever possible. But, because they were machine cut the owner of this Porsche didn't have to worry about installer error scratching the paint with their knife when trimming back the edges. Because it's machine cut, every single cut is precise and perfect every time. There is definitely something to be said about how much better the install looks when the edges are wrapped. But you can get the same exact results as a custom kit with a machine cut kit. This is an install on a Panamera we did and as you can see we wrapped edges wherever possible. ^^^ I stand by Xpel products/kits as I've had it on my last 7-8 cars...personally I am a huge fan of Xpel Ultimate, which has self-healing abilities in the case of scratches. If anyone is in central/north FL and needs an installer let me know. The guy that does all my cars is phenomenal, and I consider him the best in the business (there's nothing in it for me by the way, absolutely no affiliation). I figured I'd point out that I'm an extremely meticulous individual by the way.

He will be doing my 09 S this Friday....car is due to arrive either today or tomorrow!
