Illuminated Door Sill- No Illumination-Warranty

Noticed last night when I went to let my girlfriend into the passenger side of my 2011 GTS with 7,000 miles that the (Costly Option) Illuminated "Carrera GTS" was not on. Driver side works. Will this be covered under warranty. If not is their a light bulb under the door sill?

There is a lighting panel under the side sill, but it is not available as a separate part. The entire sill will need to be replaced. It should be covered.

Shouldn't a 2011 be LED in which case, the light failure is virtually 0%.
Fused separately for just unplugged maybe?

How can that part be 500-800 $$$. Also I've never driven the car in the rain, (I hand wash it a lot) so i'll have to wait and see if it is water damage. Hope its covered under warranty or it will be a fun time at the dealer!!!

I am sure this is covered under CPO. Water damage in my third brake light was covered...

FYI - Went to drop car off at dealer this morning an Guess What Happened!! I went to open the passenger door to show the service writer the door sill and the "Carerra GTS" was lit up!! I felt stupid- but how and why does that happen, You have a problem with your car,but when you take it to the dealer, the problem has disappeared!! Oh well, got a $300.00 oil change anyway. (Used to be 250.00 but Porsche had a price increase) Also got to go for a ride in a 700hp Turbo S that Champion Motorsports has done a lot of work on. I think my internal organs are still at Copans and Highway 95. We launched at got a 0-60 time of 3.0. We lost traction from the start but with the right tires the car has done a 2.4 sec 0-6 and a 9.8 1/4 mile. PORSCHE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep an eye on it - intermittent failures and flickering is usually how they start to fail.
