My car is no longer house-trained
When I looked at my car this morning I got treated to the sight of a small puddle of coolant under the left side of the engine.
I ran the car again and got another puddle.
I immediately looked and everything seems to be dry, no drops of coolant hanging from anywhere. Can this be from an overflow pipe? (I recently topped off coolant)

I think the overflow tube is a little more to the left right beside the tank. It kind of dumps closer to the drivers side rear wheel. I know you just got the car not too long ago, what about the water pump? It's right aut where your puddle is. Be carefull, I've read stories of failed water pump pieces breaking off, traveling and getting stuck in oil passages.

Had the same issue after I bought my car. Turned out to be a leaky coolant reservoir which is fairly common. Check the coolant level. I'd fill mine up and it would drop down to the same point after a week or so.

I am 100% certain it is coolant. The weird thing is that when I park the car everything's bone dry. When I check some time later I see the small puddle of coolant on the floor
Car is a 2009 with 32k miles, seems a bit premature for coolant reservoir cracking.

Probably you didnt tighten the cap enough after topping it off.
Also possible you damaged the cap when reinstalling it.
More times than not it is the cap and not the tank itself which is a $25 fix.

If its dribbling out it needs to work its way down the engine compenents/hoses/parts to drip off so it only shows up after sitting a while. Look for where a drop is hanging on the underside of the car.. somewhere there will be a drop forming. Check what it is (smell/feel).
In my case, there was an oring that was badly installed on the water pump that was causing a very slow leak and such puddling, but if this is now appearing on a car that was fine before, its not a mis-installed part. If you recently worked on the cooling system that is the prime candidate.
If you 'topped off' the cooling tank, that is a sure sign there was a problem already since you should not have to top it off it its properly sealed and working right.

Refilled all the lost coolant on Sunday ( which means I had take off the cap and put it back on ) for two days no puddles but tonight a small puddle started again. So I guess it must be the cap. Will drive by Carlsen Porsche tomorrow and pick up a new one. And see if that fixes it.

I guess I found what it is. The coolant seems to be leaking from the gasket between the elbow and whatever the other part is. I tightened the screws yesterday which made the leak even worse.
Anyone ever had to fix that?

OK, after studying PET it seems that the leak is between part 9A1 106 238 00 (water tube) and 9A1 106 150 01 (housing thermostat)
What's the verdict form the specialists?
replace the gasket or replace the whole shebang (waterpump + gasket + thermostat)?

I would just replace the O-rings for that tube, no need to replace things that are working fine, unless you see that the tube is cracked somewhere or becoming very brittle.

I'm not an expert on Porsches, but I do fix other mechanical things and I agree, if nothing else appears broken upon further inspection, just replace the gasket/o-ring and see if the leak stops.
