Quite the opposite, laddie; you are the one making me grin.

Not sure how you drive, but on the infrequent occasions when I track, the rev limiter gets a thorough workout, and the car an immediate oil change following.

More, rather than less, diligence is merited.

I think we're mostly concerned about engine wear not the occasional tap from another car. You can't pick up a junkyard engine for $500 like the e30.

Please expand on theses vast differences because I see racing against yourself vs racing against others producing similar wear on the car.
