If you have mice traps and do not catch any mice then you do not have mice. You would also see mouse droppings if it were Mice. I looks like something got to it, but I would bet it was not mice.

By the way when you put traps out put a small dab of peanut butter on the trap, it gets them every time.

How do you guys get to that filter? I heard some say its a pita. Anyone got a write up or pics

That filter was my first DIY'er on my Porsche. Great link there! It's even easier than the pictures show. That success led me to do my own air filter, which is only slightly more "difficult". If you own a Porsche, pick up a set of Torx tools and you can do just about anything relatively simple.
I changed mine before it was due but found it to be fairly dirty. It's nice knowing the air in the cabin coming in from outside is clean.

changed mine today because of this thread.Easy Peasy, about 10 minutes tops. Not real dirty but you can tell it wasn't new.
if u don't have torx bits a allen wrench works also.
