Cold start sputtering engine in 1st gear. Fuel pump?

Cold start sputtering engine in 1st gear. Fuel pump?

Noticed for the second time now that my engine started sputtering in 1st gear after starting while revving normal between 3-10mph and driving off.
I just bought the car as second owner. Could this be a fuel pump issue or worse? Thought I read something about a recall or issues with fuel pump.
Seems to correct itself after its warmed up and driven a bit.
Idle was a bit bouncy a week ago but has been normal lately.
Also just got the check oil level warning and had to add 2 qts to bring the level up.. Im only at 11,500 mi with a change reported last in Nov @ 10000 mi.

Any insight greatly appreciated before taking her into the dealer.

2 quart add?? Hope you didn't overfill - I thought the difference between min/max was only 1.2 liters - what was your reading? Suggest in the future you add in half quart increments until you get a full reading. Check your oil more often. Sorry can't help with the rough running but the HPFP has been a problem on the DFI engines.

Didn't overfill.. took just under 2 qts though in .5 increments. It read on the low end of the scale when I recently bought it and after about 1000 mi it read at the bottom of the indicator *flashing* and threw the check level light. No leaks noted. Temp and px was ok. Will pay closer attention to keeping it full while it drinks at this rate.

I'm hoping its HPFP and covered under warranty.
