Post 12V under Glove Box from always on to ignition on.

Has anyone done a conversion of the 12v outlet under the glove box from always on to ignition on. If pics available it would be great.

Thanks in advance.

I assume this is to prevent battery drain when the car is off? If I am correct that doesn't sound like a DIY thing to do unless you are electrical savvy.

what are you trying to wire in? There are plenty of switched fuses, and using a fuse tap makes access super-easy. I installed my V1 this way.

This is where I plug in my trickle charger.
If you rewire it to be switched on with ignition, it defeats the purpose.
Draw is zero if nothing's plugged in anyway.

I have a FM Transmitter and Bluetooth for the car and if I don't turn it off its on all the time. So I would like to leave it on but the 12V to go on/off with ignition.

You could tap into anything then in the fuesbox that is switched with ignition.
Just get a cigarette lighter plug with bare wire on the other end to connect.
