clutch symptoms
what would I notice that would indicate I need to service the clutch, like bleed, ing the hydraulics...mine seems off, it seems to catch fully in a shorter distance than think is normal...could the fluid be low, or contaminated, or something else...it is 2008 with 19000 km's and x-51, I am guessing the clutch is the same though, thanks, kk

No way you toasted a clutch in only 11,000 miles. I mean you could have if you were drag racing and tracking the car often.
I am not a mechanic by any means, so personally I would just have it looked at if you really think something is wrong. But likely someone else will replay with a good idea of what to check.

Not sure if your 08 (997.1) is the same as my 09 (997.2), but the clutch fluid would be the brake fluid and works off the same fluid system. If so check your brake fluid level. Mine is under the front hood, covered by a plastic pop off cover on the drivers side. It s a start....

yes, I have the same system, though a friend that knows these cars says even though the systems are related and both use brake fluid, somehow they are separate and must be bled independently, and the car needs to be on a lift for bleeding clutch, gathering info now, looks like I will have to avail myself of either the dealer or a competent indy, which I can't seem to find...obviously I don't know where to look, being in Germany they are here somewhere

Almost.
IIRC though the time interval for a brake fluid flush/bleed along with a clutch fluid flush/bleed is 2 years.
To the OP: Before you throw big money at the car and its clutch throw some small money at the car in the form a proper brake fluid/clutch fluid flush/bleed operation.
You want to be sure the place you pick knows its stuff and does this right. If it doesn't it can lead you to spend more money when all that was needed was a correct brake/clutch fluid flush/bleed.
