Changed the wheels on my 911, what do you think?

Hi there

I do quite a few track days so wanted a track set of wheels of rubber, so got some Carrera lobster and fitted some Michelin cup tyres:-

Have to say I expected these wheels to look nowhere near as good as my regular Sport Design wheels, as I got them to be used as track wheels, but am pleasantly surprised at how good they actually look and certainly show of the huge brakes more so than my regular wheels.

For comparison sake, here is a picture of the car on its regular wheels:-

The cups have a little more grip that the Pirelli Corsas for sure which is superb as the Corsa is also a track R compound tyre too. The Michelins also seems more confident inspiring and quieter. Not one for the wet though as the tread design is pretty much for dry use only. Looking forward to track day in June now.

Well done, I like the regular ones better, but that is why they are called Track Wheels. I am usually not a Lobster wheel guy, but those look good on yellow, probably because of being black and it ties into your black Script.

Yeah and between sessions you can eat your lunch using the picnic table on the back of your car

They look good (lobsters). I may have opted for some BBS CH wheels in black instead if you like the smallish silver rim to set it off. Or black OZ for ultra light weight.

i guess i'm still one of the few who thinks the lobsters are a great looking wheel and i'm going to be using a set for the same purpose. i think these look great on your car. i'll be running HREs for the street and lobsters for the track. i have an arctic car and i'm thinking about dark red met. or dark blue met. for the rims. need a little flair for a track set up.

Looks great, I'm not a big fan of the lobster style wheels, perfect use, the black is perfect with the yellow.

Very nice.

They look best in black but not a fan of the lobster claws because they are skinny and super heavy. Your yellow Carrera S with Aerokit loks great though

Same size as the sport designs they replaced, though on the scales the rear lobsters with Michelin cups are 2kg per wheel lighter than the sport design rears with Pirelli Corsas.
