Epilogue:

I finally got the car back, and everything works. Very happy with the upgrades.

Labor was 2.5 hrs total; 1.0 for the wheel and 1.5 for the sport mode which was very reasonable IMO.

The only negative is that I got the wrong part with the "PDK" display across the top. As Suncoast indicated on their page, you cannot add a display to a car that lacks it, and sure enough mine does not light up when Sport or Sport Plus are engaged.

However, these modes are indicated on the dash and the switches themselves, so I don't really care. I definitely don't care enough to pull it and start over, and the "PDK" emblem matches the PDK theme of the car, so <shrug>.

For any future readers to avoid getting this part, the one WITH the display as pictured here is:

997-613-469-00-FUQ

The sport mode software upgrade and switch were:

997-044-903-02 (Software)
997-613-557-01-A05 (Switch for Sport, Sport Plus, Tail and PSM)

Glad it all works. How do you like Sport Plus?

Can you see if you can program the wheel button to switch between sources? How is the volume control from the steering wheel? Pretty sensitive?

Sport Plus is friggin nutty! I can't see using that around town, it's so aggressive (and awesome!)

I don't yet know if I can reprogram as a source switch, right now it's set to be a screen switch which I really like.

Minor disappointment, no "next song" function on the wheel - maybe it can be assigned to that wildcard button too though.

The volume control is just right, it's an easily accessible thumbwheel and can be clicked to toggle mute.

I'll investigate on the source switch...

Thanks for checking. I'd want next and previous track there for sure, thought it already had that.

Sport Plus is fun for around town every now and then on some open roads!

Sorry to report that the "screen" button is NOT customizable on my car.

I don't know if that's a programming fail, or what.

It won't bug me much, as flipping screens is what I want it to do, but it may affect your decision to purchase.

Well, guess what?

I did a PCM reset to see if it would add the missing option (it didn't.)
However, now the screen button changes sources instead of screens. Argh!
