Do we like front DRL LEDs on 997s now that we've had them for a while?

I still have my incandescents on my .1, but LED's are on the wish list after a few other priorities around the house...

By the way, one of the BIG improvements on the 991 is that Porsche FINALLY has an "auto" mode for the headlights, and I believe they may also now have daylight running lights, too. Welcome to the 21st century, Porsche. We've been waiting for you.
If you would rather fork over a grand or more for longer life so you don't have to pay a few bucks to replace a couple bulbs, then you don't need justification. Fact of the matter is you just want them. I have zero vibration and a strong new battery that runs my lights just fine. As far as illuminating more quickly - when in a situation where I feel as though I am slightly threatened in a traffic situation, I will brake early anyways so that is absolutely a moot point to me.

At the end of the day, go with what you WANT. No need to justify anything (to yourself at least, wife may be a different story)

Nice car by the way! Post some pics when the LED's are installed!

kotykb is infamous around these parts
I just installed a set on my GT3 over the weekend and they're throwing a code for Front Left and Right Light errors. I'm not sure if I need to throw in resistors but I assumed I didn't need to.

Hello all,
I just purchased a 2007 997 TT, and I am interested in purchasing front DRLs. Can anyone point me to a brand that is good to buy? Are any mods needed to install? Will they throw any codes as a result?
Thanks.
