got a new spoiler, how to disconnect the oem?

so i have an 06 911 997, and i got an aftermarket gt3 rs style wing. is there a how-to anywhere on how to disconnect the auto open rear spoiler / vent? I only see one wire leading to it but I think the same wire powers the fans so I don't want to mess those up....

not sure what you mean - isnt the new spoiler "plug and play"? as in, wire from your OEM now plugged into the new spoiler which will operate the fans? if so, then there are no other wires to disconnect or cut, you just need a durametric in order to disable the auto-spoiler feature etc.

(sorry if i am misunderstanding your issue.)

Speed_force_C4S is infamous around these parts
You need to get the GT3 wire harness for the spoiler.

It is in essence "plug n' Play" but you have to replace the harness as it has the wiring for 3rd brake light as well.. Then you have to get the car reprogrammed to have no spoiler.
Otherwise, you get a "spoiler failure" message on the display when you hit 75 that is really annoying.
