TPMS still learning?

I put new wheels and tires on my 997 after buying a used set here on six speed and after about 5 miles it says it is still learning. How long should this take, or do I have a problem?

I had a new set take nearly that long. They came on 100 yards before the tire shop when I was taking them back!

Couple things you can try!
1. Make sure the old sensors are not in or around the car.
2. Make sure the pressures are correct base on the tire placard
3. Deflate the tires 25% wait 5 mins then reinflate to pressures on placard then relearn.
4. Go to local tire shop. Have them scan the sensors to see if transmitting if one or more sensors are not the car will never "learn" and give the warning!

if tpms is working, it should pick up after 10 miles or even more.

I put a new set on..then went into the PCM and told it winter tires...learned it within 2 min.
Then went back in and set it back to summer tires... Learned within 3 min in the driveway, simple for me.

Sorry, I think I figured it out. My car is a 2007 and I just realized the wheels/sensors were off a 2009 so I don't believe they are compatible. Can anyone confirm? If not, looks like I'll have a set of 09 OEM sensors for sale.

I had this problem with new sensors and tires. It would take very long to learn. Whenever I would start the car, it would show a blank reading, then give a TPMS error. Eventually, I took it back to the tire shop, and they replaced them with a different set that are working. However, the new ones did take over 10 miles to learn.
