Front License Plate for 997-2

I loath the thought of drilling holes in the front bumper- I simply won't do it. I bought and installed the tow hook plate arrangement and took it off. I took an old license plate and cut it down to make it narrower. All of the essential parts of the plate are intact and it fits into the front air deflector below the bumper. I have to figure out how to secure it in this location without drilling holes that will be visible when the plate is off. Any thoughts or experience with this? I'm willing to take the risk of minor license plate defacement/alteration.
I'm working with a 2012 911 Carrera S.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Use the toe hook plate, get pulled over all the time, or move to a state that doesn't need a front plate.

There is another option other than getting pulled over, suing the tow hook or moving. I am going to figure out how to get this blasted plate fitted into the duct work below the bumper...and I'll post the pictures. Yes, stubbornness runs in the family.

Be careful not to obstruct airflow to radiators, especially when driving hard in summer heat. Potentially you could increase engine temp considerably. Tow hook option is the cleanest option.

Tow Hook all the way...it's grown on me!

I like it, and take it off in states that don't require it.

Thanks all. I do have the tow hook plate stowed in the trunk...just in case I get pulled.

Front license plate is required in CA but I've been driving without it and haven't gotten a ticket for 15+ yrs.

Penalty for fix it ticket?- $28
Rennline Screw in License Plate Frame? - $85
Joy from a hole free bumper cover? Priceless!!!

You have a .2 bumper and I am not sure the difference to a .1; however, check my post as I cut the plate to a smaller size and I was able to fit it under the bumper.

You may (or not) like my setup, but you may get some ideas out it.
