Costco offers the Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 235/30/19, but I don't see them for the rear size (305/30/19)... hmmm gotta call them.

Is there any advantage to filling your tires in Nitrogen? Or is all of that just hype?

Long Life

UTQG stats support checking out the Michelin Pilot SuperSports; I've had at least one track operator strongly suggest them whether or not I ran my 911 on the track regularly. Price is lower too. Haven't really heard any negs.

I am on my second set of RE050A after the original PS2 and I love them too. RE050A wears well, and it offers excellent handling and ride quality. I preferred my tires to have the "N" spec.

We run the Michelin PSS's on the majority of our GT-R's here at the shop and rather impressed by them. Like someone has already mentioned, the grip is really good considering their treadwear rating.

Unless you track your car, don't worry about nitrogen. Nitrogen is intended to reduce the amount of pressure change as tires go through a heat cycle. I have air filled track tires and the increase 12 pounds when hot. So you start at 28 pounds cold and they are at 40 when you come off track. That is more than normal, from what others have experienced.

I have been through every brand of tire and I must say my current Michelin Super Sports are my favorite of all.

Excellent tread life
Even wear
VERY quiet
attractive sidewall (I know, lol)
Excellent for wet or dry in my experience

MPSS on the rear here. I've run the RE050's and they have good traction too, but are a bit noisier. Michelin has finally made a good tire that has all their usual traits of being quiet with great traction, but actually delivered this time at a reasonable price. The tire is very hard to beat. We always bought Michelins for quiet running with great traction, but the price always sucked. Now they have a tire that is competitively priced - hard to beat.

I bought a set of PSS, and the car felt soft.
I removed them after 50 miles and paid the extra for PS2 N2.
I will never try a set without the N spec again.
