NAV Position Error

For the past few days, my NAV (PCM 3.0) is showing my position, but it's off by 10+ miles. Initially, I was thinking that it just needed to get a better fix, but it hasn't gotten any closer. The direction seems to be roughly correct, just not the map position.

Has anyone else dealt with this one?

I have never noticed an issue with mine. As a matter of fact, it always seems to be accurate to within a few feet.

There should be some way to calibrate the system. On my brother's '10 4S his Navi was telling him to turn after he had already passed the intersection where he was supposed to turn. Car is under warranty and Porsche just did the latest disk upgrade and it worked fine after that.

IIRC you need to hit the set button while viewing the maps. Down at the bottom it will tell you how many sats it is picking up. Sounds like your antenna is bad or lose.

I agree its your antenna. Its hands off operation, nothing you can do other than get the antenna checked.

yep, another vote for bad antenna. had my windscreen replaced last year and they forgot to plug back in the antenna to the bottom of the cowling. you might be able to look under there and see if it's loose/unplugged. i forget which side it's on, tho...

Do a search for sat radio install and you will see where the antenna is located and what it will look like.
