Is the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 an N rated tire?

I bought my 997.1 S as a CPO car and it had the Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 on it. AFAIK, the dealer wouldn't approve a CPO car if something is out of spec. It's a 100% street use car. I like the thread design and handles pretty good enough for my type of driving. However, I want to make sure the car is within spec. There's no N marking on the tire as far as I can see. I've researched Tire Rack website and others and I couldn't find anywhere that it says it's N rated. Does anyone know if it is N rated?

tqevo is infamous around these parts
It's not N-rated. Neither is the Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Both are better than any N-rated tire.

So it wouldn't be worth making a case for the dealer to replace it with a brand new set?

Potenza RE050A's are N rated, RE-11's are not. As for a CPO car I was also under the impression that tires had to be N rated to qualify. Would be worth asking your dealer for clarification on that point.

To get a car certified as CPO it is supposed to have n rated tires, but since you got the CPO I guess they overlooked that. I would absolutely not change tires, I highly doubt they would deny any claims because of your tires.

The questions is am I better off keeping the Bridgestone which is apparently better than an N rated tire but only has about 70% thread life or have them replace it with a set of brand new N rated tires?

Keep 'em. RE11 > RE050 regardless of N rating...

If their gonna replace them for free, I'd say get a new set (assuming the tires on the car aren't new). If you have to buy them keep the re11.

I was told by the dealer that for cars to pass CPO, all 4 tires must match and must have at least 80% (or greater) of thread life left. They are required to replace them with N rated tires should the tires not meet one of the above.
