997 s supercharged vs 997 gt3

C4s with exhaust, tune, x-51 bits. Just added the Bilstein Damptronics, H&R sways, Gt3 Toe links. I shouldn't have issues in the corners any longer. The torque and hp you get from the SC will put you way ahead of a GT3 in a straight line race, as you initially asked.

personally, i would think the straight line acceleration between ur 997.1 cab s/c and 997.1 GT3 should be about even
The 6speed and the extra weight of cab would hurt u off the line and on the twisty roads.. but rolling start to 1/4 mile should be pretty close.
Didn't NorthVan own a S/C 997 before trading it for a GT3?
perhaps he can add some insight..
btw, why just drive each other's car ??
just line 'em up and put the pedal to the metal !

I think you are thinking of Cattman who had the C2S with VF S/C. NorthVan was all NA prior to switching to GT3.

How your car was in front of him?

We couldn't drive our cars together because we saw police on the road and we afraid....

My previous car was a 06 997 C4S Cab I supercharged via the VF-E supercharger and later added Methanol injection for additional cooling as well as detonation protection. (Hot track use) No doubt it was faster in straight line acceleration than any of the normally aspirated Porsche's. It would straight line accel equal to a stock 996 Turbo.
I took it to the track and it was King Kong in the straights but lacked in the turns. (Stock suspension) VF-E does a good SC kit and those cars really go just not at the explosive torque you get with the newer turbos running 18 PSI and higher.
Add PDK to 18+PSI and it's game over in straight line acceleration.

They told me that is only for drag race.
I saw that the 997.1gt3 is completely other car,the weight, the sound, how it moves on the road.its just scurry...
Maybe it's not faster in straight line....

If you look at the mods on my car and what you had, they're not quite the same. I have the dual x-51 intake, 84mm plenum, Gt3 throttle body, custom x-51 tune (rev limiter at 7,500) for 93 octane, Fabspeed headers and 200 cell cat x-pipe, PSE, BMC filters. My car feels very similar to a 6 speed GTS (I've driven them back to back). Now if you're talking about a 997.2 Gt3, they are faster, but not the 997.1 (in my experience). The driver will also factor in a bit because of the manual shifting.

your car should be more powerful since you're comparing your car's whp to the gt3's advertised bhp. what type of dyno was your car on?
#26
It was rototest

I agree. I just looked on fabspeeds site and it says whp for a 997.1 Gt3 was 365whp when they dyno'd prior to adding their exhaust.

I'm cabrio 997s,405 WHP,353ft lb but the gt3 is absolutely different car.
