997.1 - GT3 Wing vs. GT3 RS Wing Rice?

okay everyone, i have done extended search on the two wing styles, and like them both. However, my concern will the RS wing look "ricey" on a Carrera?

As for the GT3 wing, Porsche offer the Aero Kit for the Carrera so it should look, feel at home. But everytime I see an Evo or Celica...hmmm.

Can you really "rice-out" a Porsche 997?

TIA for your comments.

I think the rs wing looks great on an rs. I would stick to the aero kit or a ducktail spoiler on a non gt3.

I have to agreed to your comment...the RS wing looks great on a RS.

i am leaning toward the classic duck tail...it is subtle not aggressive. Had my C2S didn't come with the GT3 front...no rear wing would be needed, just the stock one.

Thanks for the comment...

I like the Ducktail, but I prefer the Misha style ducktail as it flows with the Carrera lines better than the classic ducktail, IMO.

Yup.
Lower profile and more subtle.
And because it's lower, it doesn't need the 3rd brake light because it doesn't block the upper one.

You have gt3 or aerokit front already? If that's the case I'd probably go aerokit rear or .1 gt3 wing. More subtle than rs wing. Saw one for sale here with deck lid for ok price.

No offense to anyone. I think its basically your age that will determine whats great to you. Older people prefer the stock rims, stock wing look, middle aged ppl will prefer the duck tail or small wing. Now younger people, I won't state my age, but we prefer the "I'm right here look!" The RS wing to me just gives your car a more aggressive, look at me look. I personally feel the RS defines what porsche is about. Sport, race, track. They are designed for the track. In my case i get a lot of compliments from the local PCA club. But yet again I am the youngest in the clan. Do what you feel fits your personality! Im more of the, here I am type and less of the mello boring type. Hope this helps!

Did you have to buy any wire harness or anything extra when you put the ducktail on? Or did you use the factory wires?

She need to quit calling it a vette...one time we were at III Forks restaurant, she said the new Mustang sure looks great. After looked around i ask her what Mustang...she pointed to the yellow stalion...a Ferrari LMAO!!!!
