Just messing around due to envy!
I do truthfully have some DYnaudio comps with amps but will probably stay in the garage for the emergency days.

Been hearing about those dynaudio components and can only wish for them but im sure its going to be a slippery slope once you go that route. I will stick with the original intention...i really hope cab can complete his "regular non competition" bose upgrade and have significant improvement over the regular bose. And hopefully rye's quest to get the best upgrade for the bose subs comes to fruit....i think this post shows just how much interest there is to what our brothers rye and cab are sharing.

I think you are going to need a clean hi-end hi power amp for any Dynaudio components to come alive. Else, I would have reused mine a looong time ago.

I'm sure I wouldn't get the most from them without a great amp - but if you already had a set of them, why did you buy the Focals? DynAudio lists the sensitivity at 92db, so it should be just as usable /w OEM amp.

Perhaps I should try them out one day.

Their claimed sensitivity rating is very similar, but boiling speaker sensitivity down to a single number is a bit simplistic - I'd take your experience over numbers on a spec sheet.
I've never heard DynAudios in person but my friend said the same thing - they claim 200W power rating and you really need a beefy amp to make the most of them, even at lower volumes.

I am glad to report that the 8's are in with 3/4 spacers. I used the housing a a template to ensure I have a wing-like spacers. Pics to follow.
Rick,
Before I close the driver's side, do you need anything? Measurements? Design?
Let me know!
Do me a favor. Can you check the woofer corner and find out if you have a little bit of opening between the panel and the door metal. Perhaps 1/16-2/16"? I am sure my panel is now closed as I removed the fasteners and test-fitted everything before closing her up.
