Smile Question on Wheel fitment on NB 997~ 19 x 11 offset & Tire Size

Howzit guys~ Man I haven't been on here in awhile... and tryin to kinda get back into the groove of things~
Anyways I had a quick question~ Has anyone fit 19 x 11 Work Brombachers on the rears of a Narrow body 997?
I used to have a 997 C4 wide body with these wheels but with a 11.5 width in the rears and wanted to know if anyone squeezed a 11 onto the rears of a NB 997... I will be picking up a NB 997 soon & I was wondering if the 19 x 11's will fit... I have heard it is possible but would have to get narrow tires in the rears, like 285 or 295's instead of 305 or 315's...
Any input would totally help~ Thanks guys

Agreed with jh, wheel offset is the important data. If your wheels came from wide body then offsets could be very different for rear.

Thumbs up

Okay just found out the Offset and it's actually a 19 x 11 with a +35 offset and NOT a step lip~
So if anyone has put this size wheel fitment on the rears of their 997 narrow body please do let me know what width tire they put on them... I'm thinkin 285 or 295's so they will stretch a bit... I know depending on the tire manufacturers the width of tires vary... and I know 285's on a 11 wide wheel seems a tad extreme... but I just want to know if anyone has done that before and if it will work with a 11 width with a +35 offset on the NB 997... thanks!

35 is too aggressive for a narrow body. Stock offset for the rear on NB is usually about 67 mm - 35mm offset will look strange.

Thanks bro~ Hmm... I was thinking if I get some narrow tires to strectch to make up for the offset a tad and also lower it and let the camber do the rest... just wanted to know if anyone else has doen this... I know the stock offset is 67 on a NB but usually they go very very lenient with stock numbers asi Know most aftermarket wheels have a more aggressive offset... Do u know what the Offset is for the GT3 rear wheel?

Cool thanks~ So basically if the 997.1 GT3 has a 19 x 12 wide wheel with a 68 offset, since that wheel is a full 1 inch wider than the 19 x 11 wheel with a +35 offset, I'm thinkin with the +35 offset shouldn't it kind of almost even out as being almost the same as the wider wheel with the 33 less offset?

Here are the differences - it still will extend 20mm more.

Cool Thanks for that Chart JH! Great help for sre!
Also I just found this post on here...
It's a NB 997 with the same wheels in a step lip but with a +25 offset=

https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...6wb-997wb.html

So... I guess it works, seeming that mine is a +35... But if u loook closely at one of his close up pics you can tell there is significant tire wear on the upper part of the sidewall from rubbing~ And I'm taking that those were 305's maybe... I think 285 or 295's would do the trick depending on the brand of tire...?

The pic of the black 911 looks like the rear has a flat, you see sooo much rim with the skinny tires, not attractive, IMHO.

The rears on that car are stretched tires - purposely undersized width-wise to stretch the rubber on a wider wheel to fit on a lowered car. It's a pretty common look on Japanese tuner cars that are "slammed" to the ground.

I'm not a fan of the look on p-cars.

Sorry, not pretty on a Porsche, IMHO.
