Thumbs up High miles

Looking for a 997 c2S, low miles to add many more.
Had a 964 Cup Car, thousands of track miles, no problems.
997 should be even better !

Have a 06 C2 w/96,000 on the clock. I am the second owner. Replaced the clutch once, flywheel once, brakes once, a window regulator, water pump (under warranty), a coil pack (under warranty) and yesterday the alternator and/or cable, finally died. Will get replaced on Wednesday. I am a fanatic about regular oil changes (every 5,000 miles). Car still runs strong and I suspect it will for a long time.

In short, I would not worry about a high milage car if it has been well maintained.

Same here I have a 2005 C2 with 79k, replaced the water pump, at 60k did the spark plugs, and had the alternator cable replaced. I'm due for brakes and rotors next. Don't know why people looking at 911's fear high mile cars? I seem to think the longer they sit the more problems they will have later. Get out there and enjoy the drive!

You are right about saying that the longer they sit the more problems they will have. Every machine is meant to be used, specially our P-cars.

picked her up

Picked her up from Philly last night and love everything about it . The road noise , feeling everything on the road again and the smell from the engine . The only thing that I was wondering about is the convertible top noise . I had a few 993 convertibles but never a 997. Is it normal to hear kind of a shifting, or creaking noise when on an uneven pavement? Like turning into a driveway or something like that? Otherwise perfect .....

The shifting noise is normal. My dashboard creaks when it gets cold too.

I have a 05 C2 with 72K on it and zero issues. Replaced plugs and water pump. Oil changes on time. Already went through 1 clutch. Still running like a champ with zero leaks.

. Ditto here! My 2006 C4S just passed 62k and going strong... Reg maintenance and care just like that given to any car is enough to allow these cars to run well for many more miles. This is my fifth 911 and have all been DD for me ....and have all gone well over 100k .... Get out and drive! I look forward everyday to my daily thrill...

At what mileage are all you guys replacing your water pumps? Is it due to failure or preventative reasons?
