I disagree with CPO car does not come with issues. There are several threads about new owner CPO cars after as early as a week or a few months the clutch went out or brake pads went out. These repair bill ranging from $1000-$4000 for clutch jobs or if you're unlucky to replace both you're looking minimum $5k repair bill. So what PPI do is tell you these potential hidden issue that does not cover in CPO cars, also DME tell you the potential of abusive track racing previous owner(s). Good luck with buying your new porsche, it is truly an amazing car but ünderstand the repair cost is expensive.

If they refused to give you the DME or CERTIFY PORSCHE TECHNICIAN PPI, they certainly have something to hide???? May be or may be not, but P ride are expensive to repair and for a peace of mind, I want a complete PPI because it tell you what almost wear down and what need to fix now, so you can gage how much more you need to pay down the road to keep the car maintain properly. DME reports is also important bc I could overrev anywhere and not necessary on the track. But if you willing to spend $50k for a used 911, there are a lot of cars out there to choose from. If dealer can't meet your expectations the wait for another one. Unless this is a must have car for you

300 miles since last December, sounds like a RMS leak is in your future, no worries though, it's covered under CPO, will save you about $1,000 to $1,500 bucks. These cars are over $100K when brand new, just b/c they are used doesn't mean they will have used maintenance prices. Just make sure you have a couple of thousand for repairs.
+1, You are going to spend $50K on a car, why not spend another $250 to have it double checked. The car could be CPO'ed a year ago, a lot could happen since then. Get a professional opinion.

i wouldn't go anywhere further w/o DME...dealer IS hiding something if they won't give you that...takes literally minutes to pull, also definitely have 3rd party PPI...a must when you go up against the 'ship... like a previous poster said, the extra $ for PPI is invaluable... best of luck, and there are plenty to choose from...

If a dealer wouldn't give give me the dme report it would be a big red flag, i definitely wouldn't ever buy a car without getting a ppi (from a trusted mechanic thats impartial) regardless how good the deal appeared to be.

Nothing or as little as possible above range 2. And make sure the report you see is from the actual car you're looking to buy.

Not really the best advise in my opinion. You are spending over 50 large after taxes. Don't be fooled by CPO. Could have accident history not reported, over revs, etc. Do the leg work.

This was a car that probably should have been sold wholesale at auction instead of being described as a perfect CPO example by the dealer. The response by the dealer when the buyer complained? "Too damn bad". PCNA did exactly nothing for him either.

I had the same problem with mine and it showed in the PPI. The mechanic who did my PPI told me it's covered under CPO warranty and it's not a big problem. I brought it, took it to a Porsche dealer and they told me what I already know and fixed it.
