Have adaptive sport seats and they hurt

After spending a month trying to get comfortable, I could use some help.

I'm 6'6" 240lbs. Love love the car. But...

The plastic under the side bolsters on the seat bottoms are digging into my legs. Even if I hold my legs together.

This is with them totally deflated - if I pump them up it seems worse.

Any suggestions on adjustment? They seem so darn narrow.

No problem with the back or shoulders really - just the bottoms.

I'm tempted to swap for comfort seats or have the seats modified to take some of the plastic down.

Think I read someone used a padded seat cover - or sheepskin.

Any ideas? Is it just me?

Thanks

Curious to learn the answer. I'm 6'0 205lbs, weightlifter and the sport seats in my 335d are a bit tight in the same area. I've considered having a mild modification on mine too.

I've looked hi and low for info and haven't found many folks over 6'2" 200lbs commenting on any of the seat types. Probably a statistical rarity to be that tall and own a Porsche.

I have enough leg room - head room (have a cab) - arms are fine.

The seats are the #1 problem for me - a distant second is wanting a nicer steering wheel and warmer weather

I am 6'4" 215 and have adaptive seats in my 997 TT. I have no issues. I have my seat all the way back and tilting back some what. A lot of my height is in my femur. 36" inseam.

I am 6'-3" & 240# with a 36" inseam & 37" sleeve length. I find the adaptives to be very comfortable, with no issues. I have to put the seat back all the way & would like another inch or two of legroom, but what is there is adequate.

Try out a car with the standard seats & see if it fits better. Changing seats is a big deal, so this option may not be so good.

A seat bottom of some sort may also work for you, but will place you closer to the bottom of the steering wheel & slightly decrease headroom. Try it out with some cheap foam padding or the like & if it works, have something cosmetically acceptable like the sheepskin made up.

I'm 6'8" 200 lbs. My seats are the non power manual sport seats and I searched high and low for that car because they are really comfortable and give me a bit more head room. So there you have it.

Thanks to all for replying.

Pumping up the bottom bolsters - just a bit - seems to help. The side bolster plastic is then below the surface of the seat so not cutting into me. I'm kind of on top of the bolsters but it's much better.

Thanks again all

cheers

I have perfect white teeth, 5'11", 36-24-36, Ms. California! I wish for world peace! hahaha joke!

On a serious note, I am surprised how much passenger height our 997 could accommodate!

I'm 6'2", about 250. Most of that is "good" weight from weight lifting. I am wide across the torso and shoulders. I have manual sport seats and I find them confining in the legs and the torso. I notice that the longer I drive it, the seats seem to mold to my body (or vice versa) and they become more comfortable. However, if I had my wish, I would change to the comfort seats.

Anyone know what a swap to comfort would entail?

I have the impression it should be a straight forward. The biggest challenge would be color matching. I've looked at the ones for sale and could not see any "English leather saddle". Anyone knows the color name or code for English Leather Saddle?
