bump: does everyone feel that the Fidelity warranty is one of the best you can get? Looking at used 997s now and want to know what my aftermarket warranty options are... seems like there's a million providers out there

FWIW...I just read on another forum that a member just called Fidelity to inquire about a policy for his Porsche and says [quote}I just called Fidelity today and they have stopped insuring or offering extended "service contracts" on Porsches [quote]. True or not, I don't know for sure....just sharing.

I purchased a Fidelity platinum warrranty from my local Porsche dealer last year. The service department there indicated they never had a problem with them.

I think mine was $4K for the 100K mile 7 year warranty with a $0 deductible. So that took my car to 2019 and 109K miles of coverage.

Your price is directly dictated by the number of miles you have on your car. The higher the mileage, the more it will cost you.

I think they are pulling away for covering Porsches from certain states. In some states, an insurance company can't choose what kind of marque to insure. Basically, if you plan on conducting business on that state you need to cover every brand. Check with your state laws. Good luck.

Maybe it's by area!? I just called today and they directed me to a nearby dealership to purchase it. (NYC)

Please post the quote. At 41k, I am eager to know your cost.
