I totaled my 997S in august, ended up buying a new C250 (ya tell me about it) and just 2 weeks ago i bought a 2001 M5 E39 cuz i needed something with some "driver feel" for some reason the E39 M5 feels quicker than my 2005 997S i'm not sure how or why, but maybe its the Torque.

I hear ya. I sold mine and miss her too. I was just watching Wheelers Dealers and they had the E39M5 and I was reminiscing about the beast.

there are many very fine examples out there, look on the M5 boards, ps: forget the prices listed on KBB and Edmunds, those are for the trashed ones, good M5's are usually sold by enthusiasts to enthusiasts
