Well, finally a photo. Been busy busy with other stuff. But
had to snap a photo before I left today. Hopefully we can
can get that interior back inside the car this next week!

 

Loving the Alcantara dashboard, looks brilliant. Been thinking of doing this to mine for ages but not been brave enough.

Now I've seen how it turns out I'm gonna start ringing around re trimmers. :-)

 

It's pretty tough to remove. One a scale of one to 10 I'd say a 8 or 9. Do-able, but there are so
many screws holding it in, and items that have to be removed to get at other things that need to
be removed. Basically every things gotta come out. Then reinstalling it, you'd think would be
easier... which it is, but still not too easy. A local upholstery guy who I've used in the past, but
not with this car, told me he'd have charges $1000 to cover it (with me providing the material)
and I'd have to remove and re-install it. He just covers it. I has it covered for quite a bit less...
which shocked him.

 

Thanks for all the compliments! Sorry I haven't been posting photos with updates. I
just bought a '69 911S and that is sucking up some time now. But it is moving along
quickly and we'll be back on my 997 soon!! The 997 hasn't had much done to it in the
last 10 days or so.... ;o(

Coming coming. We have been slacking on the car for a few weeks.
Friday we re-installed the driverside window rubber that runs around the quarter window and front window.
Tail top, rear window spoiler & mirrors were color-sanded for buffing (tomorrow). Hopefully we'll get those
on the car tomorrow and take some updated photos. Sorry for delays... trying to get some other work done.

This isnt much of a "new" photo... as I've posted others that look like this one.
But... the car is starting to get it's interior installed little by little. I'll have to get some lighting inside the car to get better shots. Right now they turn out blurry because not enough light. Tail should be going on tomorrow.... we'll see.

I was going to go with 2, but thought 3 would be safer. hehe

 

Finally here are a few more shots. I've gotten really busy doing other work, and try
to squeeze in at least a few hours every day on the car. However, the work that's
been getting done doesn't translate into photos so well. At least nothing that would
be interesting to see. I'll keep 'em coming as we progress. ;o)
