my 997.2 C2 on H&R Springs and Bronze Forgestar F14 wheels
I've been a lurker on here forever and was finally able to get a 911 in July. After reading for months the 997.1 C2S vs. 997.2 C2 threads, I finally started test driving. I ended up with the 997.2 C2 and am very happy with it. Coming from an E92 M3, I knew I would miss the high-revving V8 but I honestly feel that the 997.2 is just as quick (it feels faster), and with out a doubt better handling. The DCT in the M3 was perfect, but the PDK is really great. I have pros and cons to both...
I wanted a 911 because I wanted to get more into HPDEs and felt the 911 would be a fun car to improve my skills (and with the PCA instruction). After my first track day in the 997 I decided to lower it on H&R springs and add H&R adjustable sway bars. I couldn't believe how much of a difference it made... I knew the springs would provide me with little opportunity for customization (as opposed to coilovers) but I intend on getting a 997 GT3 in the next year or so, and figure I will wait until then.
I wanted to post some pics of my [some-what dirty] 997 on my brand new Forgestar F14 wheels I ordered from ModBargains. They are my second set of wheels I've ordered through them and I honestly have never have had such great customer service with a "car modding" company. Thanks again to Elliot at Modbargains.
The wheels took 7 weeks to be delivered to my door and I opted for something different for the finish. I've done the black on black look, and then had black wheels again on my silver M3. I've always loved bronze wheels, and I couldn't be happier with how they turned out. They look soooo good in person, the pictures don't do the car justice. The powder coat is "Oil Rub Bronze" or "Textured Bronze" (both were used on my invoice.)
The wheels are 19x8.5(f) and 19x11(r) in close to perfect offsets from Forgestar at et46(f) and et52(r).
I have a red GMG roll bar going in soon with black Sparco Evo seats and Schroth 6-point harnesses.
I hope you guys like it (no editing of the images at all, so forgive the quality):

Car looks amazing with the Forgestar F14 wheels! Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to earn your business and be a part of your project.

Man your car looks awesome. I have done black wheels time and time again so I am always open to something unique and fresh and you nailed it with those wheels.
So if the car is a non-S, did you have the brakes painted or did you get new calipers? I can't wait to see pics with the new stuff installed. Btw- I've been buying from Modbargains since they opened up and have always had good experiences.

Thanks for the compliments guys!
I recently had the calipers powdercoated red and then the 4" Porsche logo painted on in white (usually the stickers are 3").
I was supposed to have a red Brembo BBK that I attempted to swap with another member on the board over December, but the swap didn't work... so I just settled for red calipers. For track days, that is definitely the biggest complaint I have with the 997. A BBK is my highest priority, but given that the car is a non-S, I think resale would be difficult, so I'm trying to hold off until I get a GT3 in the future.

Looks awesome! I ordered those exact same wheels and same color a few weeks ago. I told them I wanted a dark satin bronze finish and they recommended the same rubbed bronze finish. I got the SDC's for the rear. Are those SDC?

Thanks for the positive comments! It is lowered on H&R Sport springs. There wasn't as much drop in the rear as the front but I'm very happy with the ride and look.
They will look amazing on a white 911... Please post some pics when you get them.
As for the Super Deep Concave rears, because of the rear offset I don't think you can get those with a NB 911 (at least that was what I was told). At the et52 and 11" rear, there is no wheel gap whatsoever. I am running a 305 rear tire, and the tire does stick out ever so slightly (I can see it in my side mirrors). I really did want the SDC but I was under the impression (being told by both Modbargains and the Forgestar rep) that it wasn't going to work. Please let me know what you were able to do. Do you have a WB? If so, that would totally be possible.

I have a NB and they told me they can fit the SDC's by changing the offsets to match. I stuck with 11" rears and kept the stock tire size at 295. They said they've done several of this same setup without any rubbing issues. The customer service and techincal knowledge was great so I trust in their recommendations. I'll post pics when I get them. They're still waiting on new shipment of rears.
