Valentine One public service info...
I have read other reports on the new accessories offered by V1, but did not truly understand what is now offered with their new Savvy and V1 connection for iPhone (and android) accessories.
I have had the Valentine One for many years moving through numerous vehicles along the way. Several vehicles were hardwired, but moving through vehicles relatively quickly I had not hardwired my latest pcar.
After purchasing my son a new car this weekend, I elected to pass down my 'old' unit to him and purchase the new model with the above accessories.
I installed the Savvy, V1 for iPhone unit and ran the cable all in about 15 minutes! I used a credit card to easily slip the cable at the windshield and A pillar, dash and behind the gasket material at the door sill. The unit now turns on/off with the vehicle and because of Savvy it auto adjusts the volume at my set speed. Just amazing how easy it was to get a professional-type set-up with more user flexibility.
The V1 for iPhone (assume android operates the same) add-on provides information on the various band types or can mimic the base unit display and blackout the display on the base unit from the app as an independent function. I was thinking about also ordering the remote display, but it is not needed with this accessory and associated app.
Had I realized how (1) easy it was to install (Savvy) to get similar results as a custom install and (2) the added display information (V1 for iPhone) offering substantially more useful information, and the ability to blackout the base at night, I would have ordered much sooner.
I have absolutely no affiliation with V1 except as a longtime satisfied customer. I just wish I had understood sooner and in better detail how beneficial their new technology has become. I have only trusted the V1 in the past and that has only been reinforced with their new technology.
Hope this helps anyone considering their various accessories.

That is true of any laser "detector." I used laser jammers on my last few vehicles, but they have now been outlawed in Texas and many other states. Laser doesn't appear to be as widely used as the radar in Dallas thankfully. Police on motorcycles in Dallas typically use laser, whereas the rest still typically use radar.

Can't speak to other device, but like the band information and remote control of the base display with the V1 connection.
Highly recommend for gadget geeks like me.

Yeah, I couldn't believe how much better Savvy made the v1 experience. Install was super easy and the best part is the muted sound below the speed limit you set (which was worth every penny)
Laser sucks and laser jammers are illegal in TN.
