Tiptronic S 0-60mph in 4.77secs!!
I recently purchased a G-Tech pro performance meter and did a few runs most of them came in at 5sec flat with normal launch but I got a 4.7sec run when I brake boosted with PSM off. Pretty good timing for a low RPM takeoff.

I am pretty sure a six speed would be much faster as I could max get up to 2300RPM to launch with brake boost. I presume a launch at 4500 with a 6 speed will be good for a quick 4 - 4.5 sec run.

I had a 997 with Tiptronic S and there is not doubt that shifting is faster with the sport mode. The Porsche literature never provides times for sport mode (which I find curious).
I am looking forward to having the 6 speed I ordered (with X51).

Did you get the op to buy the club coupe or order X51 on an S model? Do you know what month build date.

I think about .2 faster than what porsche claims is what the average driver should be able to do. That seems to hold pretty consisten across the model lines. Anything better than that and it is a superb launch very difficult to replicate unless you are that damn good.

I wouldn't rely on mag test figures. R&T has some ridiculous numbers for the 997S showing that it's quicker than a TT, GT3, and a Gallardo.
997S 0-60 3.9 sec vs 4.0 for a TT 4.2 for a GT3 4.0 for a Gallardo
1/4 mile 12.3 vs 12.4 for a TT 12.4 for a GT3 12.3 for a Gallardo
Yeah right. Plus mag tests are run at full ***** out it's not my car so I don't care testing mode.

1/4 mile 12.3 vs 12.4 for a TT 12.4 for a GT3 12.3 for a Gallardo

R&T does not correct for atmospheric (sp?) differences in their testing (temp, humidity). That is why the times do not match up to real world.
If you look at the C&D times they are generally much more believable. All numbers there are corrected.
