The passenger side air bag is off. There is a symbol on the panel that says to check seat settings. The manual indicates there is a key to turn the air bag off, but I can't find that. I can't see any seat settings. Thanks for any assistance.

 

The key to deactivate the passenger airbag was a dealer installed option. If your car is equipped with it, it is located on the outboard side of the glove box. If you don't have this option, make sure your seat is not in the fully aft position, as this can sometimes cause the airbag warning light to illuminate.

 

Ah...no such option on mine. I think the seat is the aft position. I will try moving it.

I have to put it back in order to accommodate my passenger..Ping golf clubs.

 

have someone sit in the seat and see if it changes...
the newer ones will be OFF when no one is in the seat. Not familiar enough with the 06.

 

I have a bar in my c2s and my friend whos tall got in last night And moved the seat back without me knowing and it was pushed up against the bar and that same msg came on my dash "check air bag setting" then i looked amd slid the seat up and it went away dont know if this is the same case.

 

Moving the seat forward fixed the problem. Thanks.
