GSXR_FVR C4S Intro Thread!!!!!!!!
Hey guys,
Been a Long time member, just moving on from a 964 to a 997. I've been active in the 964 section however looks like I'll be spending more time here.
Both cars are weekend warriors..
Here's the 964
& here's the new to me C4S. Got the car bone stock 2 weeks ago. So far H&R springs, Gundo hack, Techart formula 20's 245/325 combo. Love the ride so far.

I just purchased Dectane front & rear LED's. My xenon's are always on from the moment I turn on the car as DRL, anyone know a way to turn off the xenon's during daytime..
I know there's a module to run led's as drl but need to know, how to turn off the xenon's??

I don't have access to my car right now to confirm this, but if I remember correctly, you can turn DRL on/off for the Xenon's under the personal memory settings on the PCM.

If its as simple as that it would amazing..I have been reading that a dealer has to redo the settings for it to work.

To use the LED as DRL, it does require some additional wiring / resister / coding. It had already been done that this way by the previous owner when I bought my car. So I'm not sure how its done exactly.

Just to clarify, on the .1, you can set via the PCM to turn the Xenon's (low beam) on to run as DRL. But it does not enable the after market LED light on the bumper to run as DRL.

I know in order to run led's as DRL there's tons of aftermarket module's available, my only concern is to turn off Xenon during days..
Thanks for your help

Nice, great combo, 964 is my favorite 911 besides the 997, always wanted one but afraid I might buy one that requires a lot of maintenance so I just dream about it. I will probably add another Porsche to the garage but it'll be newer. Congrats on your 997.
