Need to know what this part is

Does anyone know what the orange rubber tennis ball looking thing is wrapped around the suspension?

You can see it if you peer into the gap between the top of the tyre and wheel arc, I don't think it's the suspension bush..

Anyway one of mine is torn, the other side looks like it's tearing, is this something I should get replaced asap?

Cheeers

That's the bump stop for your strut. When the strut fully compresses it prevents metal on metal contact. From the picture it doesn't look like an urgent thing you need to worry about. Just replace it when you're doing other work or if it completely falls apart.

Do you have shorter than OEM springs? Rarely will you see that with stock suspension components.
