My new to me 2008 is almost a direct replacement of my 1980 SC. White Tan Manual. Only options are manual seats, moduals for Phone and Nav. While searching the net, I only found 1 other white tan manual 997 and it was a tiptronic. I lucked out and found my C4S local with a clean PPI, records 1 owner etc.

Its like having my old SC back.....but she matured and evolved with time. Could not be happier. Some times less is more.

I was actually thinking of this just the other day. I complimented someone's 911 and his response was: "thanks, it's the only one in the country" my immediate thought was - well, since Porsche has an options list a mile long, and the sheer amount of possible combinations this results in, it's not unreasonable to think that people can option one in such a way that it's the only one with the exact specs in the country.

So in my mind, saying "it's the only one in the country" is not the same as saying "Porsche made a super limited edition car (1), for no one in particular, and I bought it.

Mine is certainly no unicorn ('05 C2S 6MT silver/black with bose and heated seats), and sometimes I wish I had some more exclusive options or color combinations, but I also like the overall simplicity of it because it makes a nice first foray into Porsche ownership and I don't have to feel bad about thrashing it on the track occasionally. Perhaps with my next one I'll track down something a bit less common.

Mine is not a unicorn but still pretty rare (I think).

Base in macadamia over tan. Manual, Bose, GPS, heated and cooled seats, sunroof, HID, and not much else.

My wife said I can buy a Porsche as long as it was not black. By the way, she also thinks that the color red should be exclusively for Ferrari.
