Interesting take on this issue, I think I will cough up a few bucks and let the dealer service my car now.

And this is just one of the positive results of Porsche stepping up --- more good business.

Though, "few bucks" is relative.

The diagnosis on the car was that one of the valves from cylinder #5 broke. Head and block destroyed. Porsche has paid all parts and labor to repair the motor. This included a short block and a cylinder head. My participation was fluids and fasteners, I also decided to replace the valves and all related components in the other head and some maintenance items like coil packs, plugs and a new clutch throw out bearing. Clutch was like new. All in 5k from my pocket. I have to give a special thanks to Wayne and Alex at Porsche Norwell. Having a car 100% dealer maintained does have its advantages. Thank you all for your support and Happy Holidays.
Well done, great dealer!
