Blown Motor
Backing out of my garage, my 2007 C2S felt like it stalled. Tried to restart but car just made that dead battery sound. Towed to dealer, diagnosis is motor dropped a valve , cylinder #6, and is toast.
Some history, car was originally leased by me, I purchased car after 3 year term and had it CPO'd.
Car currently has 43k. It has been serviced by the same dealer since new. All maintenance was completed faithfully. A DME scan showed no over revs.
The dealer has made a case to Porsche for good will. Waiting for their reply. Any advice or steps I should be taking is greatly appreciated. Also dealer said Porsche doesn't just swap motors anymore but if they do step up with good will they would supply the block and heads.
Thanks.

Guys in the 991 forum are having issues getting PCNA to even cover small things on cars that are under warranty and only 1-3yrs old.
One guy even had a plastic seat trim piece that probably costs less than $50.00 on a new 100K car that they wouldn't cover. The labor would probably have been a couple hours because of where it is.
There are numerous stories about things like this and even more serious ones.
Covering a major engine failure out of a CPO warranty for over a year?? Anxiously waiting your dealers response.
I feel for you more than Porsche probably does.

#6 cylinder failure on these is a known problem. PCNA may pick up partial, ie pay for parts, owner picks up labor cost or visa versa. Or they may not. If they do intercede you may never hear from OP again. They don't generally like it to be known. Wouldn't want to set a precedent you know
