997 PDK issues?
#16
It's not a matter of living in fear of what's going to break. It's a matter of whether you choose to pay for whatever breaks yourself or if you rather have someone else pay for it. I have yet to buy an extended warranty for a 997 that wasn't profitable. A simple water pump failure that took the serpentine belt with it paid for 80% of the last one I bought. Didn't take much to push that one into the plus column.

A friend of mine is a master tech(or whatever the highest level is called) at my local Porsche dealer. I've talked to him before about the reliability of PDK and he's told me it's not something to worry about. As has been said before, it's an incredibly robust transmission. Any issues with it are very uncommon.

Continuous Customer Care (CCC). Toyota/Lexus based policy. Basically identical to Fidelity's 4-year platinum policy but at $3,000 it was $1,200 less and zero deductible. Exceptional service and no hassles while I had it which included almost $16,000 in claims. (no affiliation).
